My Favorite Two Attractions At Disney Theme Parks

When my wife and I went to Disney World for our honeymoon in October 2005, they were still working on a new ride at Animal Kingdom. It would soon open up under the name of Expedition Everest, and it’s one of the main attractions at that park. The ride is a roller coaster that takes you through Mount Everest, and the iconic mountains stand very tall and visible inside of Animal Kingdom.

From the American Adventure, you drive to the Cast Center. Wow, look at all those costumes! The Cast Center is where the costumes are kept until they are checked out by the cast members. Let’s hope you didn’t believe those were all real characters out there in Disney World. The guide will fill you on what it’s like to be a cast member. You might even catch sight of a princess getting ready for work. Yes, princesses have to work too. You probably already knew that princesses wear wigs. You’ll see plenty of princess wigs set out for the princesses to wear. Did you have any idea that there were so many princesses, so many people working for Walt Disney World?

Another point animatronic dinosaur suppliers to make is that although shopping is a seven day a week activity here the weekend is when you want to go Friday through Sunday from noon to p.m That’s when the runway magically rises up from the floor. Every hour there is a new show as the local stores have professional models display the clothes that are currently for sale in their stores – which are better seen in motion than wondering what you’d look like while staring at a mannequin. No two weekends are alike, with celebrity models and personalities flown in from New York and LA adding to the attraction.

This ride is in the Asian part of the park, and the premise involves Yeti and Mount Everest. While you slowly move through the line, you’ll eventually go through a museum with a bunch of photos and hiking equipment that show some of the original explorers. You’ll also get to see some photos and articles on Yeti, which are also known as the ‘abominable snowman’. According to what I read in the museum, many folks in that are believe the Yeti are mystical creatures put there to protect the mountain. I also saw an article where one guy said it was probably just some species of bear.

During the Second World War, the tower was used for a time as a Royal Air Force radar station and was known at that time as RAF Tower. The crow’s nest was removed in 1940 to allow the structure to be used as a radar station, which proved unsuccessful. In 1949 a post box was opened at the top of the tower. The hydraulic lifts to the top of the tower were replaced in 1956-57 and the winding gear replaced by electric.

The new-new name will be “Apocalypse” and the coaster itself will stay pretty much the same. But where Six Flags takes one in the pants, is they spent upwards of $1 million on the Terminator-themed intro in the queue. It included several animated remote control Terminators and a training video featuring two of the film’s stars, Common and Moon Bloodgood.

The original ballroom, the Tower Pavilion opened in August 1894. It was smaller than the present ballroom and occupied the front of the tower complex. The Tower Ballroom was built between 1897 and 1898 to the designs of Frank Matcham who also designed Blackpool Grand Theatre and it opened in 1899. It was commissioned by the Tower company in response to the opening of the Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens. The ballroom floor is 120 ft x 120 ft and is made up of 30,602 blocks of mahogany, oak and walnut. Above the stage is the inscription, “Bid me discourse, I will enchant thine ear” from the poem Venus and Adonis by William Shakespeare. Each crystal chandelier in the ballroom can be lowered to the floor to be cleaned which takes over a week.

There is a lot of speculation in the pre-season this year, due to WIndseeker’s location immediately in front of the old Action Theater line queue. The simple answer here is that I have no idea! Great reporting, right? Kings Island has made no official announcement for this attraction, and most likely will not, even if the movie changes. I will find out as soon as possible what is playing, or you could keep an eye on the many Sponge Bob lamentations at the KIC message board.
